The Body At Work

Sitting in an office chair for prolonged periods of time can cause lower back pain or worsen an existing back or neck problem. The main reason behind this is that sitting, whether in an office chair or anywhere else, is a static posture that increases stress in the back, neck, shoulders, arms and legs. ‘The Body at Work’ aims to help you understand how our bodies and mind work.
Advice
Understanding how our body works is the first step towards achieving a higher level of health and comfort in the workplace.
Most of us aren't really sure of what muscles are working when. All we know is when we decide to do something, our body magically does it. This is how most of us operate until some part of us starts to hurt. Then all of a sudden it is very important to understand what is causing the hurt and how we can fix it.
At Wellworking we want to help you understand how your body works while you are working before you get to the stage of being in pain. Once we have this understanding then our actions begin to work in harmony with our workstation.
Wellworking – keeping you working well!
