Faced with the choice of relocating to larger premises or re-stacking their existing space, HG Capital approached Wellworking asking for proposals to increase their occupancy rate by 35%.

From the outset this was a challenging brief due to the high amount of at-desk  storage required by each staff member. Following a consultation process, and after considering a number of storage solutions, we proposed the Meridian system from Herman Miller as this met all of the client’s requirements. The Meridian system offered HG an opportunity to utilise the inherent flexibility and increased storage capacity of this product to best meet the brief.

After carrying out a storage audit, we were able to engineer a solution that increased each users at-desk storage by 65%, whilst still increasing the headcount by the desired 35%. Each user now benefits  from 2 levels of 900w filing drawers, combined with a 900w bookshelf unit located directly next to their desk.

The work was completed in two phases, with the bulk of the installation taking place between Christmas and New Year, so as to minimise any disruption caused.
