Great report from this years NEOCON in Chicago.  NEOCON is the USA's biggest trade office furniture show and is considered to a must see!

Bene office furniture were there and these are their thoughts & observations.

A recent report by Ofcom (see: Ofcom website for full report) provides evidence that the way we all communicate and work is rapidly changing.  The rise of texting, mobile working, smart phones & web based communication has changed the way we all go through our daily lives forever.

But it is worth considering that with new technology comes new risks to our health & wellbeing.  Work related upper limb disorders (WRULD's) is a general term that covers musculoskeletal conditions which can affect the shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist or hand.  Previously the terms repetitive strain or stress injury (RSI) have been used.  These conditions affecting the upper limbs, which may be work-related, can be due to occupational overuse and with our ever increasing need for typing the dangers are obvious.  

Wellworking offer some guidence on avoiding these issues in the Social Ergonomics section of our website and can also assist companies with compliance and best practice with our Wellworking Ergonomic Services department.

The Vitra Tip Ton chair has won the furniture award at the 2012 Design Week, the judges described the Tip Ton as "Elegant. Simple insight; complex but elegantly resolved geometry. Clearly developed through lots of time and effort. A simple outcome that almost creates a new archetype."

Victory in Euros may have eluded the home nations this year, but Wellworking have swept to victory in the CBS 5-a-side football competition.  Beating Hunters FC 7 - 3 in final, team Wellworking brought the trophy home to West Acton.

Rumours of an open top bus are greatly exaggerated!

With the games only a few weeks away, Wellworking would like to let our customers know that due to access restrictions (primarily in central London) between July 27th & August 29th there maybe delays for deliveries during this period.  

We are using additional vehicles & staff to minimise disruption and will work with our clients to ensure that deliveries will be completed in a timely manner.

On July 11^th, Herman Miller will be holding its first Insights Network event in the London National Design Centre.  Titled ‘Will the Olympics impact how Londoner’s work forever’, this new series of events will be held quarterly, taking the form of a debate on a specific question, focusing on the views and experiences of key opinion leaders, with Herman Miller acting as the facilitator.

Connecting with customers, A&D and media, the programme will give people an opportunity to engage with Herman Miller people and products.
