Hag Futu wins Green Good Design Award

Among thousands of submissions from 46 countries Hag Futu has been awarded in the category Product Design for its outstanding environmental design and low carbon footprint. Hag strengthens its environmental leadership and was the only task chair awarded in its category. Since the launch in 2008 the chair has received several international recognitions such as the internationally renowned Red Dot Award and the Design Excellence Award and the Environmental Award from the Norwegian Design Council.
With HÅGs long term investments in sustainable design, a 20 years track record with innovative and ground braking office chairs, they have yet again proved their role as a successful environmental pioneer within the office furniture industry. The Green GOOD DESIGN™ Award is a new addition to the established and internationally recognized GOOD DESIGN™ program which was founded in Chicago in 1950. The aim of the award is to bring a public appreciation and awareness of a new design paradigm led by the current generations of visionary architects, designers, urban planners, corporations, governments, individuals, and private and public institutions.
The Green GOOD DESIGN™ Awards give recognition to those that have advanced exceptional thinking and inspired greater progress toward a healthier and more sustainable world based on the ideals of energy conservation, reduction of toxic waste and green house gases, diminishing dependence of fossil fuels, pollution, and the depletion of the world energy resources. The Award is given by the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Athenaeum – Museum of Architecture and Design
– through its new Green GOOD DESIGN™ program.
