Herman Miller Sayl Award
SAYL was one of the four runner up products at the World Architecture News (WAN) Awards, after being shortlisted from over fifty entries.
The judges noted the engineering and investment that had gone into this ‘fabulous’ product. Judges Pavlo Schtakleff, Ed Richardson and Chrystina Schmidt all admired the aesthetics of the chair. “In terms of function and engineering it is amazing,” stated Ed Richardson after seeing SAYL in production.
The judges were impressed by SAYL’s price, noting it was ‘a remarkable feat for such a distinguished product’ - and for that reason it was unanimously felt that the chair should be shortlisted for the award.
The furniture award is an opportunity for manufacturers & designers from around the world to compete for the internationally recognised series of WAN Awards.
