Behind the clean design there is an advanced interior. At the core of the chair is inBalance, a unique technology that allows you to adjust the tilt resistance with extreme ease according to individual needs and ergonomic principles. HAG Futu is both timeless and innovative at the same time and will fit in well into any office landscape. HAG Futu was honoured by the Norwegian Design Council with the Award for Design Excellence in 2009. This award is presented to companies that use design to create innovative products and solutions. Amongst other things, the jury stated: “The innovation of HAG Futu is in everything that has been removed. This isn’t a sitting machine, but rather a piece of furniture.”

HAG Futu complies with the strictest environmental requirements both with respect to manufacture and choice of materials. It is manufactured using a minimum of resources and no environmentally harmful materials. A huge 97% of the chair can be recycled and almost 50% of the chair’s components are made from previously recycled materials. HAG Futu is also GREENGUARD certified, which guarantees that the chair has no harmful emissions. In common with all of HAG’s chairs, the environmental profile for HAG Futu will be documented in the Environmental Product Declaration (EDP) – in accordance with ISO 14025. HAG is registered as an environmentally conscious company within the EU EMAS arrangement (Eco Management Audit Scheme). We also have environmental management systems in accordance with NS-ISO 14001. In addition to the Award for Design Excellence, HAG was awarded the prestigious Environmental prize for HAG Futu, where the criterion is to have developed a product or solution that has significant environmental properties in a life-cycle perspective.
