The Vitra Zeb Leather Stool, designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, was created with the specific purpose of being a height adjustable bar stool!
Every component was for its designated function the seat and swivel mount made of die-cast aluminium, powder-coated column sleeve, chrome-plated gas spring, footrest and base plate - are precisely coordinated down to the smallest details and joined together in an elegant, unified whole of the highest quality.
The Zeb bar stool has a height-adjustable swivel seat and the sleeve of the column comes in various colours. The round seat is also available in 2 different leather finishes.
The name Zeb refers to Zebedee, the twirling jack-in-the-box character from the BBC children's television series 'The Magic Roundabout'.

Edward Barber, born in Shrewsbury in 1969, and Jay Osgerby, born in Oxford in 1969, studied architecture and interior design as fellow students at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1996, they founded their own studio for design and architecture under the name Barber & Osgerby.
