The Vitra Eames Soft Pad office chair is the ultimate in comfort and class. Upholstered in top grade leather the soft pad version adds increased comfort to the classic Eames die-cast aluminium structure. The EA 217 is a medium back chair on a five star base with arms.

This is an original Eames Aluminium Group chair manufactured under license in the EU by Vitra.

Materials

  • Backrest and seat: EA 217 with medium-high backrest. Sewn-on cushions with polyurethane foam upholstery in Leather. Side profiles and spreaders in die-cast aluminium, with a polished finish.
  • Seat mechanism: adjustable backward tilt, lockable in the forward position. Continuous seat height adjustment with gas spring.
  • Armrests: die-cast aluminium, with a polished finish.
  • Base: five-star base in die-cast aluminium, with a polished finish. Equipped with hard castors for carpet. Castor covers in black.

The guarantee is that if any Aluminium Group or Soft Pad Group chair purchased by you develops a manufacturing or materials fault within 30 years from the date you purchased it, Vitra will repair or replace it free of charge. Note that surface marking, weathering and normal wear and tear is not covered by the guarantee, nor is damage caused by deliberate attack or misuse. This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights. The Vitra symbol gives you the security of owning an authorised original product by Charles and Ray Eames.

Delivery

We offer free delivery throughout Mainland UK. 

Smaller items are delivered by courier while larger items are delivered by the Wellworking delivery team. Regrettably, this means larger items can only be delivered to Mainland UK addresses.

If you do not live in the UK please contact the manufacturer directly for information on a local retailer.


Returns

Any product can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund for any reason. Original packaging is not required.

Wellworking offer free collection for all items being returned from UK Mainland addresses. Your refund will be credited to your original payment method once the item has been returned but it can take 3-5 working days for banks to process this.

Why are only certain colours or specifications available in the In Stock section?

The products in our In Stock section are items we hold in the Wellworking warehouse and are available for dispatch in 2-3 days. We only store the most popular specifications and products. If you require a different specification, then please choose from the other departments where products are made to order.

How long do items take for delivery?

Delivery times are specified above and on your checkout page.

Many items are made to order so that you can select your own unique specification.

If you wish to get your item sooner, then please choose from the In Stock section which is a selection of products that have been bulk ordered by Wellworking in the most popular specifications and are available for dispatch from our warehouse in 2-3 days.

Is delivery free?

Yes, all UK mainland deliveries are free of charge and this includes assembly and installation for larger items (like chairs and desks). Smaller items are delivered by DHL while items of furniture are delivered by the Wellworking delivery team.

Where do you deliver to?

We only offer deliveries throughout Mainland UK. We do not sell any items outside of the UK. If you do not live in the UK please contact the manufacturer directly for information on a local retailer.

Does this come assembled?
