The Vitra .03 Stacking chair (designed by Maarten Van Severen) is a 'general chair' that can be used in almost any kind of space. The shell, with its linear silhouette and flexible integral foam construction, adapts to the body. When you lean back, the upper part of the backrest yields slightly.
Built-in leaf springs give added resilience to the backrest and return it to the original position when pressure is removed. This makes .03 the most comfortable stacking chair available today!
The .03 can be stacked up to 12 high on the floor and is great for public spaces or domestic areas that need to be flexible for changing requirements.
.03 comes in a choice of Red or Black finish with powder coated or polished legs.
Maarten Van Severen designed his first furniture pieces in 1986 and in the following year established an independent workshop, where he pursued the limited, semi-industrial production of his own furniture designs. Maarten Van Severen developed a range of new designs for Vitra, which have progressively entered series production.
