By the middle of 2015 our team had more than doubled in size since our last move, and we were looking for a new office design that would play a key role in continuing to attract and retain the best staff, and to keep productivity and performance high.

The first thing we did was talk to our colleagues.  A clear message came back that not only did we need more space, but also different ways of working within that space.

We completed the project over 8 weeks in the Summer, doubling our office space and, just as importantly, including more breakout areas and differing levels of acoustic privacy.

Herman Miller Mirra2 seating and Layout Exchange sit-stand desking were installed in the main task area, while a significant portion of our downstairs office is now given over to a tea point and dining area furnished with Vitra’s DSW chairs and James Burleigh’s Osprey table. Our BuzziWings installation ensures an acoustic and visual baffle for those taking their drinks and meal breaks.

Brunner, Vitra, USM and Buzzispace have been combined to create an exceptional boardroom space, while Vitra’s Alcove sofas provide additional breakout and meeting spaces to facilitate increased collaboration away from the main desking areas.

It’s early days, and our colleagues continue to contribute to thoughts about how to improve the new offices still further, but the feedback has been very positive, and it’s been backed up by increased satisfaction scores through a post occupancy wellbeing survey.
